    THE HOLY SPIRIT

For all those not acquainted with Roy Lessin's writing, I would like to share some of his beautiful words with you today.  I hope you enjoy this.

The School of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26 NLT

During a graduation ceremony I heard a student cry out, “I’m free!”  To the student, graduation meant no more classes, no more lessons to study and learn, no more listening to teachers, no more rules, and no more restrictions upon his day. It is easy to lose sight of the importance of our education and how it can be used in our lives to mature us, help us develop relationships with others, and prepare us for the future.

The moment you gave your life to Christ He enrolled you in His school. Your teacher is the Holy Spirit and life is your classroom. He has surrounded you with lots of fellow students, but you will always have His personal and undivided attention. When Jesus enrolled you in His school He placed you there for a lifetime. Heaven is your graduation. Until that day, you will always be taught by the Holy Spirit and have new lessons to learn.

Today, in your life, in your circumstances, in your relationships, in your trials, in your pain, in your persecutions, Jesus has things for you to learn. The Holy Spirit is teaching and instructing you in His ways, His working, and in His wisdom. He is teaching you about the Kingdom of God, about the heart of God, and about the plan and purposes of God for your life.

What is the Holy Spirit teaching you today?  What words of Jesus is the Holy Spirit bringing to your remembrance? What step of obedience does He want you to take? What word of faith does He want you to trust? Paul tells us that he had learned to be content in whatever state he was in—whether he had much or little. The Holy Spirit used the circumstances in Paul’s life, the times of plenty and the times of lack, to teach Paul contentment. In every situation of life, the Holy Spirit has something new to teach us. Remain teachable.

“I always say to my children that no matter how many mistakes we make or how tough it gets, as long as we have learned a lesson from it, no experience is wasted… thank God for every situation that you are in because He is teaching you lessons you will never forget.” Angus Buchan, A Farmer’s Year

May God's peace be with you.

    The best laid plans.

    Hi Fellow Christians:

I know I said I would start writing on Monday, but what is that popular saying,

"we make plans, and God laughs."

Anyway, I am now ready to begin.  But you know what.  This blank page before me

has suddenly become very intimidating.  I wonder if you all felt that way the first time

you tried to write for the world.

Two years ago, I went through a very dark  time in my life, and I never thought I would

get better.  Grief and depression is a very difficult road to travel on. But I found myself

on that road two years after my Dad died.  I thought I was just fine and then about

two years later, the dam broke.  All that pent-up anger came out.  But unfortunately

I was never able to get out of that stage of grief.  Finally, I reached the conclusion that

I  needed professional help.  I had a wonderful counsellor, and with her help and

the grace of God I am now myself again.  It has been a difficult journey back, but

I have so much to be thankful for.  I feel as though I have been given a second

chance at life, and now I want to reach out and help other people who are hurting.

Everyone at some time in their life has been in a dark place.  Maybe you are going

through a difficult time right now.  But whatever your situation, I  would like to share

my blog by bringing words of peace and hope and maybe a laugh or two to all who

    read it.

This is not going to be a daily journal like so many other blogs.  It is a reflection of a

spiritual journey and finding God in the chaos of everyday life.

Have a good day. May God's peace be with you.

    Hi everyone.

    Hi fellow Christians:

Weekends are family times.  So I will not begin to post until Monday.

Peace be to all of you.
